L’atelier Hélio’g, fondé et dirigé par Fanny Boucher depuis 2000, est un lieu de création dédié aux techniques de la gravure taille-douce et plus particulièrement à celle de l’héliogravure au grain, procédé de reproduction d’exception datant du XIXe siècle. Unique atelier professionnel en France spécialisé dans ce savoir-faire rare, ils sont moins d’une dizaine dans le monde à le faire perdurer.
Diplômée de l'Ecole Supérieure des arts et industries graphiques Estienne en gravure taille-douce, Fanny Boucher s’est spécialisée dès 1998 dans le procédé Talbot-Klic de l’héliogravure au grain à travers sa formation auprès de Jean-Daniel Lemoine, scientifique spécialisé dans les procédés photomécaniques du XIXe siècle.

L’atelier Hélio’g a obtenu en 2006 la labellisation Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant et fait partie du patrimoine culturel immatériel de l’ UNESCO en tant que métier d’art rare.

L'atelier Hélio'g fait également partie des Grands Ateliers de France.

The studio Helio’g created and run by Fanny Boucher since 2000, is a unique place of creation in France. Here the emergence of new images via the collaboration with artists is favoured. The technique of photogravure is placed at the artist’s disposition offering a means of expression using an exceptional process. The atelier is situated at one of the gateways to Paris in Meudon. Here in the historic Potager du Dauphin, surrounded by acres of lush forest, is where 10 highly skilled craftspeople have their studios.

A graduate of the Ecole Superieure des Arts et industries graphiques Estienne in intaglio engraving, Fanny Boucher has specialized since 1998 in the Talbot-Klic process of photogravure grain through his training with Jean-Daniel Lemoine, scientific specializing in photomecanical processes of the nineteenth century.Since 2002 she has invested in the research for the creation of positive films of half tints from numeric files, anticipating the scarcity of silver films with continuous tones. These silver films do not offer the same freedom to retouch and rework the images.
In 2006 the atelier Hélio’g obtained the prestigious Living Monument label and is listed as a UNESCO cultural monument thus validating the cultural importance of this rare craft.
